Dalet Digital Media Systems, a publicly traded company on Euronext which designs, develops, and sells Media Asset Management and digital media solutions to broadcasters and content providers, today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Gruppo TNT S.R.L., a privately held Italian company that specializes in advanced broadcast solutions.

Italian Broadcaster Mediaset deploys Gruppo TNT "TVHilites" systems based on Matrox DSX hardware.
Matrox® Video Products Group announced that Mediaset, one of Europe’s largest media companies and the leading free TV broadcaster in Italy, has fielded 22 automated production server systems, based on Matrox DSX™ technology, from leading Italian software developer and system integrator Gruppo TNT S.r.l. The systems, which replace traditional video servers, are based on Matrox X.mio cards, part of the Matrox DSX family of developer products, which provide multiple video and audio inputs and outputs.

Gruppo TNT TV Hilites: a networked editing suite |
TVHilites is a suite of software modules created in order to satisfy the present demands of TV broadcasters to produce and play-to-air the highlights as quickly as possible.
The most common context in which it is used is sport (in general during "live" events), but it can also be used for different purposes: reality shows, music festivals, talk-shows, important ceremonies, prize awards, and so on – that is to say all those situations in which, during a live broadcast or more commonly at the end of it, it is necessary to rebroadcast in real time the most interesting parts ("highlights"), having at one’s disposal a flexible and powerful system of logging, research and almost immediate going to air.

Ideal for multi-camera shoots of live events such as sports, concerts, and reality shows; Media Replay continuously records up to four cameras on a single system with up to eight stereo audio tracks per channel.
